Introduction

Carlsberg is a Danish brewery founded in 1847. by J.C. Jacobsen. He also set up the Carlberg Laboratory in 1875 and established the Carlsberg Foundation in 1876. Long history and a clear purpose are what define the company as a multinational giant in the brewing industry. Carlsberg operates regionally in three market areas: Western and Northern Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia. Their portfolio includes 155 brands and they market as “Probably the best beer in the world”.

Carlsberg BH d.o.o. is a member of the Carlsberg Group that currently operates in more than 150 countries in the world.

Challenge

The traditional way of doing business often means performing operations manually, which can be quite challenging for both small and large companies. As Carlsberg BH is a company mostly engaged in distribution, their daily operations include issuing a great number of travel orders that require both time and money resources. An additional challenge was that all data and statistics were also manually recorded, which often led to errors and misinterpretation.

Being stuck with the administration was creating pressure, long days and exhausting work hence keeping the company from moving forward and focusing its resources on more important projects.

Solution

To address the problem, we presented a fully digital solution to help our client manage their daily operations more efficient and less time-consuming.

We’ve developed a custom web application for creating and automatically printing travel orders, as well as a mobile application that allowed drivers to easily send the necessary information to the system.

Results

The tangible outcome is reduced time spent on administration and manual operations. The company can now manage their travel orders efficiently and increase the overall performance of daily operations. The whole system is now centralized and there are no more delays or errors.
